"I'm sure the other co-op programs such as ActSci or Investments are ok. But their CPA program is just bad. Disorganized and people were not very nice. Didn't even bother to treat us lunch/coffee or come say goodbye. It's the gesture that matters, and they didn't even bother to do that."

"I was part of the CAO group. People gave me bitch work to do including copying/printing/and stupid journal entries. I hate the people, I hate the work, and I hate their co-op program. Most of all, the HR was bad. They completely missed the deadline for rankings at UW and everyone who wanted Manulife could not get it. After the ranking deadline they made no attempts to fix it, they just went like, "oh well, we fucked up, let's just hire from UofT or Ryerson then". It left so many people hanging on for interview results and they just ignored their emails. Terrible HR."

"throughout all my co-ops, I've never had worked at such a bad workplace. They say that this is "CPA Co-op Program", in fact Manulife is not pre-approved and you must do Experience Verification...such a scam. They also have very disorganized HR, bad hiring practices, unfriendly people, treats the co-ops in a malevolent way (offers no benefits, low salary, gives coops shitty work with no learning aspects), employees are mean and make inappropriate jokes such as, "I can't wait for you guys to all leave"...etc. Overall, this company has a bad coop program and horrible corporate culture."
